The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Republic of Poland, referring to the deposit of its instrument of accession, on May 1, 1990, to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971 ("Paris Act (1971)"), with the declaration that its accession thereto does not apply to Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix of the Paris Act (1971) (see Berne Notification No. 129), deposited on July 21, 1994, a declaration extending, for the Republic of Poland, the effects of its accession to the said Articles and the Appendix.
Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix of the Paris Act (1971) will enter into force with respect to the Republic of Poland on October 22, 1994.
