The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him that he was informed, by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, by a notification dated December 13, 1995, that the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971, and amended on September 28, 1979, "shall, in accordance with Article 31 thereof, extend to the Isle of Man, being a territory for whose international relations the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is responsible."
The application of the said Convention to the Isle of Man will take effect on March 18, 1996.
