The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the receipt on December 23, 2011, of a communication of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, dated December 22, 2011, relating to the change of name and changes in the schedule of fees of the Banco Nacional de Algas (BNA), an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 239 of October 28, 2005).
The new name of the said international depositary authority is "Banco Español de Algas" (BEA).
According to Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the fees for storage by other methods and for communication of information set forth in the said communication shall take effect on February 19, 2012, that is the thirtieth day following the publication of the changes by the International Bureau.
