The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the receipt, on July 6, 2016, of a written communication dated June 29, 2016, from the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, informing him that the list of kinds of microorganisms accepted for deposit by the National Collections of Industrial, Food and Marine Bacteria (NCIMB), an International Depositary Authority (IDA) under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 24 of February 2, 1982), has been extended to include non-pathogenic fungi.
The amount of fee charged for the storage of non-pathogenic fungi is as follows:
Storage of the non-pathogenic fungi - £670
The number of replicates required when making a deposit is 2 active cultures or 20 free-dried/frozen replicates.
The fee is payable to NCIMB Ltd and subject to VAT, at the current rate, where applicable.
