Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure

Notification of the French Republic of Changes in Fees Charged by the Collection Nationale de Cultures de micro-organismes (CNCM)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on December 28, 1988, of the notification of the Government of the French Republic, dated December 22, 1988, stating a change in the fees charged by the Collection nationale de cultures de micro-organismes (CNCM) as an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, as amended on September 26, 1980. The text of that notification is attached.

The fees set forth in the said notification will apply as from the thirtieth day following the date (January 31, 1989) of the publication of the said fees in the January 1989 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle, that is, as from March 2, 1989 (see Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty). The said fees will replace the fees, as published in the July/August 1984 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriéte industrielle (see Budapest Notification No. 39 of June 29, 1984).

NOTIFICATION

With reference to the provisions of Rule 12.2 of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, I have the honor to send you herewith the new schedule of fees charged by the Collection nationale de cultures de micro-organismes, the International Depositary Authority referred to in Notification No. 39.

The amended fees will replace those specified in Budapest Circular No. C 4213 (DMO 211) of June 29, 1984.

  Fee for furnishing of samples (cost of transport in addition) 700 (except in specific cases)
  Fee for the issue of a viability statement requiring a viability test 700 (except in specific cases)
    - in other cases 120
  Fee for the communication of information or issue of an attestation 250

The above fees are subject to value-added tax (VAT) as appropriate.
