The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the deposit by the Government of New Zealand, on October 4, 2019, of its instrument of accession to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled, adopted at Marrakesh on June 27, 2013.
The instrument of accession contained a declaration according to which the accession by New Zealand shall extend to Tokelau.
The Treaty will enter into force, with respect to New Zealand, on January 4, 2020.
