The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to refer to the deposit, on March 14, 1984, by the Government of New Zealand, of its instrument of accession to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967 ("Stockholm Act (1967)") with declarations to the effect that its accession does not apply to Articles 1 to 12 of the Stockholm Act (1967), and that this extends to the Cook Islands, Niue and Tokelau (See Paris Notification No. 110 of March 20, 1984).
In this respect, the Director General has the honor to notify that the Government of New Zealand deposited on December 17, 2018, a declaration extending the effects of its accession to the Stockholm Act (1967) to Articles 1 to 12 thereof, in respect only of the territory of New Zealand.
The said declaration will enter into force, with respect to New Zealand, on March 17, 2019.
