The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, on September 18, 1979, of its instrument of ratification of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with a declaration to the effect that its ratification shall not apply to Articles 1 to 12.
Furthermore, the said instrument of ratification contains the following reservation: "the Republic of Indonesia takes the position that for any dispute to be referred to the International Court of Justice for decision, the agreement of all the Parties to the dispute shall be necessary in each individual case."
The Republic of Indonesia will belong to Class VI for the purpose of establishing its contribution towards the budget of the Paris Union.
The Stockholm Act (1967) of the said Convention, with the exception of Articles 1 to 12, will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Indonesia, three months after the date of this notification, that is on December 20, 1979.
