Accession contained the following declaration: "The Republic of Cuba deplores that, even after the adoption by the General Assembly of the United Nations of Resolution 1514, of December 14, 1960, setting forth the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, that proclaims the necessity of bringing to a speedy and unconditional end colonialism in all its forms and manifestations, a text of the nature such as that referred to in Article 62(3) of the Patent Cooperation Treaty, which concerns Article 24 of the Stockholm Act of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, had been adopted."
