Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure

Communication by the Government of the Republic of Poland Regarding a New Schedule of Fees Charged by the IAFB Collection of Industrial Microorganisms, Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology (IAFB)

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on September 7, 2004, of the communication of the Government of the Republic of Poland, dated August 30, 2004, regarding a new schedule of fees charged by the IAFB Collection of Industrial Microorganisms, Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology (IAFB), an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 186 of December 12, 2000).

According to Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the fees set forth in the said communication shall take effect on November 21, 2004, that is, on the thirtieth day following the publication of the change by the International Bureau.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations at Geneva presents its compliments to the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and has the honor to enclose herewith an official communication on new fees to be applied by the Institute of Agriculture and Food Biotechnology (IAFB) as issued by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland and received via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The new fees are to take effect as per Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure "… from the thirtieth day following the publication of the change by the International Bureau".
