Details Details Year of Version 2013 Dates Status as of: January 1, 2013 Entry into force: July 1, 2011 Adopted: March 20, 2009 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter IP Regulatory Body Notes This consolidated version of the Federal Act of March 20, 2009, on Patent Attorneys takes into account amendments introduced by the "Ordinance of June 15, 2012, on the Adaptation of Laws Following the Reorganization of Departments", which entered into force on January 1, 2013. Paragraph I of the said Ordinance of June 15, 2012 introduced amendments to Article 8, paragraph 3 of this consolidated version of the Federal Act on Patent Attorneys, where the wordings "Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology" is replaced by "State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation". Article 18 under Section 6 of this consolidated version of the Federal Act of March 20, 2009, on Patent Attorneys provides for the amendments to certain laws that are specified in its Annex (which is not reproduced in this version and is shown only in the primary version of the said Federal Act). The Annex contains the amendments to the provisions of the following laws: - Article 42 of the Federal Act of August 28, 1992, on the Protection of Trademarks; - Article 18 of the Federal Act of October 5, 2001 on the Protection of Designs; - Article 13 (paragraph 1, introductory sentence), title preceding Article 48a, Article 48b, Article 120 and Article 142 (second sentence) of the Federal Act of June 25, 1954, on Patents; - Article 321 (first sentence of point 1) of the Criminal Code; and - Article 171, paragraph 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of October 5, 2007.
