United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods

Accession by the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic.
Croatia
Signature by the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia: April 11, 1980; Ratification: March 27, 1985; Entry into force: January 1, 1988.
Czech Republic
The former Czechoslovakia signed the Convention on September 1, 1981 and deposited an instrument of ratification on March 5, 1990, with the Convention entering into force for the former Czechoslovakia on April 1, 1991. On May 28 and September 30, 1993, respectively, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, deposited instruments of succession, with effect from January 1, 1993, the date of succession of both States.
Germany
On January 1, 1990..., the Federal Republic of Germany ... denounced the Convention relating to a Uniform Law on the International Sale of Goods and the Convention relating to a Uniform Law on the Formation of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, both done at The Hague on July 1, 1964. These denunciations took effect 12 months later, and the present Convention therefore entered into force for the Federal Republic of Germany ... on January 1, 1991 ... in accordance with paragraphs 2 and 6 of article 99.
Dates refer to the Federal Republic of Germany. The German Democratic Republic had signed and ratified the Convention on August 13, 1981 and February 23, 1989, respectively.
Montenegro
Signature by the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia: April 11, 1980; Ratification: March 27, 1985; Entry into force: January 1, 1988. Succession by Yugoslavia: March 12, 2001 with effect from April 27, 1992.
Netherlands (Kingdom of the)
On January 1, 1991, the Netherlands denounced the Convention relating to a Uniform Law on the International Sale of Goods and the Convention relating to a Uniform Law on the Formation of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, both done at The Hague on July 1, 1964. This denunciation took effect 12 months later, and the present Convention therefore entered into force for the Netherlands on January 1, 1992, in accordance with paragraphs 2 and 6 of article 99.
North Macedonia
Signature by the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia: April 11, 1980; Ratification: March 27, 1985; Entry into force: January 1, 1988.
Russian Federation
The Russian Federation continues, as from 24 December 1991, the membership of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in the United Nations and maintains, as from that date, full responsibility for all the rights and obligations of the USSR under the Charter of the United Nations and multilateral treaties deposited with the Secretary-General.
Serbia
Signature by the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia: April 11, 1980; Ratification: March 27, 1985; Entry into force: January 1, 1988. Succession by Yugoslavia: March 12, 2001 with effect from April 27, 1992.
Slovakia
